A new face at Opportunity Advies: Valéry Oude Groen
Valéry Oude Groen-van Rijswijk (34) began working as a trainer and consultant for Opportunity Advies on 1 September 2011. She has already spent six years at Opportunity (2002-2008), when she helped set up DIV, the Netherlands’ national diversity management network.
As an interim programme manager for DIV, she advised organisations on both the economic value and implementation of an active diversity policy, with a special focus in ethnic diversity. More recently, Valéry worked for Baak, the management centre set up by the employers’ organisations VNO-NCW and AWVN, where she managed the “Law & Employer” legal training institute. She has also worked as a consultant for Davinci Advies BV and as an instructor in communication management for Utrecht University.
Valéry studied Communication Science and Law and has also trained at the Center for Servant Leadership and the Center for Generative Leadership. She has trained and acquired certification in Human Synergistics (OCI/LSI/GSI) and Appreciative Inquiry methods.
Valéry specialises in training and consultancy services in gender/management/inclusion, work/life balance, ethnic diversity, the new way of working, and career and parenting issues.
